About this service

Our treatment centres - Stevenage, St Albans, Watford and Fourth (Virtual) provide free intensive structured, abstinence-based, day treatment for adults with: substance addictions: alcohol and illicit or non-illicit drugs; behavioural addictions: eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, self-harm, gambling, gaming, shopping/spending, relationships, love and sex; therapy and support for family and carers.

All of our counsellors have a lived experience of addiction.

We additionally provide: Free childcare (Stevenage based); Specific project groups: Relationships, Disordered Eating and Gambling.

Our approach incorporates: Therapy within a group with that has a shared commitment to the goal of abstinence. People attending our service are supported and challenged on a daily basis to grow, develop and overcome their addiction. Well recognised counselling and therapy practices.

Our structured day therapy applies cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution focused therapy to enable clients to maintain, motivation, manage their using triggers and sustain recovery.
