Thames Reach - The Greenhouse
About this service
The Greenhouse centre provides free health care services and housing and welfare advice for homeless people in Hackney. The service is for men and women who are sleeping rough, have a drug or alcohol problem, poor mental health, or who are simply struggling to keep a roof over their head. The welcoming centre provides a way to engage with these socially-excluded individuals, who can drop in informally.
The services provided at the Greenhouse include:
- full health assessments
- GP registration
- TB screening
- a needle collection service
- housing advice
- welfare and benefits support
- specific advice for EU nationals, including translation services
- specialist debt advice
- legal advice
- links to other support service
