Matrix Young People's Service
About this service
The MATRIX works with young people under 18 in South Tyneside, their families and carers. The service provides help, support and advice to those whose lives have been affected by drug and alcohol misuse or those who are at risk of developing drug and alcohol problems. Offers:
- Advice and information for young people and their families
- Drug and alcohol awareness
- Opportunity to explore triggers for using and self-help strategies
- Harm reduction and Relapse prevention
- Help with social and educational needs
- Identification and actions for safeguarding and risks
- Counselling where appropriate
- One to one appointments
- Access to sexual health services and condom distribution
