ESCAPE Family Support
About this service
ESCAPE Family Support provides trauma informed support and therapeutic services to all people whose lives have been affected by substance misuse including carers, parents, grandparents, friends, other family members and the children of substance users. We also provide parenting programmes and courses to address Adverse Childhood Experiences to substance using parents. Support required can be emotional, practical, psychological, social, healthcare, legal and financial. We provide specific support to kinship carers and to the bereaved. We have a dedicated Young Peoples Project to support young carers and children of substance users.
We are an AIM registered learning centre and deliver education and accredited training courses to peer mentors and volunteers.
Our Health and Wellbeing workshops help those in need to build confidence, improve self-esteem and believe in themselves. We also run sessions in anger, anxiety and stress awareness as well as sleep hygiene to promote better coping strategies.
