About this service
CGL The Link is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for young people aged under 25 who live in Derby City. We provide non‑judgemental support around alcohol and drug use, offering early intervention, harm reduction, resilience‑based support, and holistic interventions tailored to individual needs. Support is delivered through one‑to‑one work, group sessions, peer‑led interventions, and outreach/peripatetic work across a range of settings. We support young people with concerns around drug and alcohol use through:
- One‑to‑one support
- Group work
- Peer‑led interventions
- Harm reduction advice
- Resilience‑based approaches
- Holistic and peripatetic support delivered in community, education, and outreach settings
Support is young‑person‑centred, strengths‑based, and focused on building resilience, reducing harm, and improving wellbeing.
Referral (how to access this service)
Young people can:
- Self‑refer directly
- Be referred by professionals (with consent)
- Access the service via phone, email, or referral through partner agencies
