Our Sheffield Residential Service offers abstinence based treatment for adults with drug and alcohol problems. The service is based in a large Victorian house in tranquil and beautiful grounds in a leafy area of Sheffield, a short bus ride from the city centre and within walking distance of the world renowned Peak District National Park.

Our team of drug and alcohol workers provide personalised support through one-to-ones, group and alternative therapies. Residents spend their first few weeks in a separate welcome house while they settle into their new surroundings and then move into the main house for the rest of the programme, which lasts between 3 and 6 months.

After completing treatment at the residential, residents are supported to move onto our supported housing services or their own accommodation.

The Ley Community is a Therapeutic Community recovery model of intervention. The main therapeutic intervention programme is known as Phase One which lasts up to 26 weeks. There is also the possibility of moving into our Aftercare Phase Two which is 12 weeks, where you can experience a range of voluntary work placements before securing full-time employment in Oxford and moving out into independent living supported by our Aftercare team. The programme will get you to look at your attitudes and behaviours, and, as a Therapeutic Community, living and working with others will help support you to do this.

We accept referrals from across the UK and provide an abstinence-based, peer driven and self-help residential rehabilitation recovery programme. It is a mutual self-help programme that assists people to help themselves and others. We also provide a 28 day community drug detoxification facility. After treatment, you will be linked in to our recovery community.
