About this service

Turning Point provides a flexible treatment and support service for people over 18, seeking support for drug and/or alcohol use, with a focus on recovery and community reintegration. Our team includes recovery workers, peer mentors, doctors, nurses and counsellors who will support you throughout your journey.

Services offered include:

  • peer and one to one support
  • recovery-focused medical or substitute prescribing
  • club drug support, steroid support
  • links to local mutual aid groups
  • support and advice for carers
  • recovery workshops
  • complementary therapies
  • shared care support for service users linked to local GP services
  • outreach and assertive engagement and re-engagement
  • blood-borne virus testing
  • needle exchange
  • evening appointments for those unable to attend during office hours
  • criminal justice interventions
  • peer mentoring training and placements within the service
