Switch - Young Persons Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service

About this service

Switch is a young people’s drug and alcohol service in Dudley. We are a free and confidential service here to support young people with any choices they wish to make about their substance use. Switch appreciates that stopping can be hard so the friendly team will meet young people in places that are suitable for them to set goals that are realistic and achievable.

Specific interventions we provide include:

  • 1:1 intensive support for the young person making changes they wish
  • information around substance use and how to stay safe
  • support for parents
  • short group work programmes to make informed choices
  • a detox programme for those young people who want to become substance free
  • wellbeing services such as auricular acupuncture, relaxation, mindfulness, diversionary activities
  • stop smoking support
  • access to sexual health interventions
  • access to support for education, training and employment
  • support for parents or concerned others
