About this service

We offer a recovery-orientated approach to drug and alcohol treatment including:

  • Advice and Information
  • Prescribing Service
  • Psychosocial Interventions
  • Family Support service
  • Individual and Group work
  • Structured Day Care activities
  • Access to Alternative and Complementary therapies
  • Access to Peer Mentoring and Mutual Aid services
  • Harm Reduction

The NECA young persons service is called SWITCH - we can meet young people at the venue of their choice. Just call 01325 267 230 and ask for SWITCH.

Referral (how to access this service)

At the Gate we provide an Open Access Service - people can phone for an appointment or walk in during office hours whereby an 'initial assessment of need' will be conducted and a follow up appointment offered.

Catchment (areas they serve)

Available to all those who live in Darlington or are registered with a Darlington GP, who are experiencing problems with drug or alcohol misuse.
