The Gateway Service works to create safer and healthier communities. We help people break free from harmful patterns of behaviour by delivering innovative services that have a measurable impact on both health and community safety issues. The service offers a wide range of services from confidential advice and information, assessment of the individual's specific needs, one-to-one sessions and group work, appointments at a convenient location; drop-in at local centres in the borough and a gateway to other services.

Refer an individual to CRI's The Gateway Service for:

• Access to methadone and other substitute prescribing
• HIV/Hep B testing and vaccination
• Residential rehabilitation
• Needle exchange
• Access to structured day programmes
• Advice on harm minimisation and support for those considering reducing their substance use
• Access to counselling and psychotherapy
• Structured motivational support
• Access to other community based voluntary and self-help groups
• Access to a range of other services

Barnet Drug and Alcohol Service have a wide range of support services to suit your needs:

• Advice and information about drugs and alcohol
• Structured counselling
• Full assessment of treatment needs
• Access to patient detoxification and rehabilitation programmes
• Complementary therapies such as acupuncture and herbal therapies
• Needle exchange and harm reduction services
• Specialist substitute prescribing for drug dependency
• Onward referrals to appropriate and additional support

Young people aged up to 18 who are concerned about how drugs and alcohol are affecting them, their friends or their family. Also supports families, carers and professionals by offering advice on drug and alcohol concerns. Offers a range of short-term talking therapies tailored to the needs of the individual. This service is free and confidential. Also offers drug and alcohol education in a number of drop-in centres through Barnet.

This service offers a range of treatment intervention via a low threshold, multidisciplinary service for those (16 -70 yrs) experiencing problems through the use of illicit drugs and alcohol. Services include:

• Resident/In-patient detox
• Family/friends of clients service
