The team for Young People's Health Advice for Smoking and Alcohol provide:
• Advice and information about smoking and alcohol to young people
• Education packages delivered in schools/youth clubs/other venues
• Resources and lesson plans made available to teachers/youth workers to deliver
• Signposting to services who can provide help and support to young people about these issues
• Work where no other service is appropriate
• Liaison with partner agencies on the subject of smoking and alcohol, to provide joint work/education/advice/information
• Drug and Alcohol training for teachers and other school staff
• Training on the use of the Drug Use Screening Tool (DUST)
• School Smoking Cessation Advisory Network (SSCAN) training to school staff to provide a programme of structured one-to-one stop smoking support for pupils

ESH run mutual support groups and drop-in sessions around Warwickshire for people with addiction problems. Also run separate groups for families and friends who are affected by addiction.

The West Sussex Young Persons Substance Misuse Service offers flexible, confidential treatment and support for young people aged up to 24 years. Young people are offered appointments at a venue which suits them and drop-ins are held around the county, including FindItOut Centres.

Wigan & Leigh Carers Centre offers a wide range of services and support for Carers and includes an Outreach Service which aims to provide support to Carers in their own locality. offers support to those caring for someone who is using drugs or alcohol.

Family Support Group is a group of parents from Wigan and Leigh who have been affected by a family member’s drug misuse. The group helps support other families affected by their loved ones drug misuse via group meetings and one to one sessions.

A monthly drop-in provides information about what's available - counselling, access to drug awareness training, and stress-busting social activities.
