Lifeline Southwark is a free, safe and confidential drug and alcohol service for any adult over the age of 18 who lives in the London Borough of Southwark.

The service supports all people from any background, who uses any kind of drug and/or alcohol and who wants to recover or change. We work at all levels, from prevention and early engagement, through to recovery. We understand people may also be dealing with other issues and we offer a range of 'wrap around' services to support these.

If you are new to the service, then please come straight to 146 Camberwell Road. This site is open access during opening hours so you are able to drop in at any time and there are always staff on hand to help. 146 Camberwell Road hosts a wide range of activity including group work, individual support sessions and Needle Exchange.

Since 1998, Double Impact has been developing services designed to enable people experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol to change their lives through recovery support and community integration. We are a unique service which deals with all the issues facing recovering people. We provide educational groups, accredited courses to build self-esteem and employment skills, housing support, specialist debt advice, volunteering experiences, advice for family members, and safe places for people to socialise and support each other. We are a young people’s substance misuse service for under 21’s. We cover Lancaster and Morecambe, Fylde and Wyre. Our work is mainly conducted in one to ones using a variety of psychosocial interventions (MI, BSFT, CBT and ITEP). We conduct group work for young people and professionals around drugs and alcohol and take part in outreach engaging young people in their own environment. If needed, we have access to prescribing for those who require pharmaceutical interventions.

We see clients in community venues including youth centres; college’s schools and youth offending teams with drop ins at the office. We receive referrals from a variety of sources including self, parents, schools, hospitals and criminal justice.

Remember the people at these organisations are professionally trained and must keep everything you say confidential.
