EDP provides a free and confidential advice and information service to drug and alcohol users, their families, partners, carers and other agencies in Dorset. You can call us on the phone, drop in to one of our clinics during opening hours, join a group or discuss concerns with one of our trained staff members over the phone. Offers:

• Advice and information for individuals worried about their drug and alcohol use; Information and advice for professionals working with substance misusers.
• Harm reduction advice on safer injecting, wound care, overdose prevention and more; Needle exchange and free paraphernalia (vit c and citric, swabs, bins etc).
• Access to blood borne virus (BBV) testing, advise information and referral to counselling.
• Help with looking after your general health (Including safer sex, alcohol misuse, nutrition etc) and give support and advice for families, friends or carers of service users.
• Free acupuncture sessions for help with cravings for stimulants, anxiety and more.
• Groups for preparation for change and relapse prevention.

The Alcohol Services Centre provides support, advice, counselling and therapy for people (aged 18 and over) affected by alcohol misuse. It also has a carers support service, and a family support worker.

The Seventy4 Foundation is an addiction counselling service based in St James’ Park in central London. It works with a range of addictions in a non-residential setting, including drugs, alcohol, eating disorders and gambling, and also supports people with the dual diagnosis of substance misuse and mental health illness. Services include individual counselling, day and evening programmes and a specialist service for people with addiction and mental health problems. Services offered at Seventy4 include:

• Specialist service for clients who have addiction and mental health problems (dual diagnosis)
• Eating disorder service

OASIS is a treatment service in London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, for people aged 18 and over who are seeking support for a drug problem. You will be offered a 1:1 assessment to allow us to fully understand your situation and your needs, and be allocated a key worker who will work with you to take the next steps. At OASIS, you can access:

• Support Groups.
• Education, Training and Employment advice and support to help to overcome barriers to learning, training or getting a job.
• Complementary Therapies to help you relax and take care of yourself in a healthy way.
• Needle exchange, condoms and harm reduction advice.
• Mutual Aid (NA meetings) on site in the evenings.
• Smart Recovery groups- peer led support to recover from addiction.
• Weekend social club run by S.U.D.R.G, including a gardening project.
• Onward referral to a full range of treatment services and community resources.
