STaRS provides the specialist treatment for addictions services in Buckinghamshire. They provide clinical treatment and talking therapies for people over the age of 18 with drug or alcohol addictions. Community and GP-based treatments are provided across the County and access to residential rehabilitation can be achieved through STARS. Services provided include:
• Specialist advice and support
• Group work and 1-2-1 support
• Substitute prescribing for opiate dependence
• Prescribing for withdrawal from opioids, alcohol
• Relapse prevention prescribing where appropriate
• Specialist counselling
• Blood Borne Virus testing and immunisations
• Full assessment, care planning and risk assessing
• Complimentary therapies
• Recovery support including access to Mutual Aid

Wolverhampton Substance Misuse Service is a free, confidential service for anyone who is concerned about their own drinking or drug use or someone else's.

With one call to the service you will have access to the information, advice, support or treatment that you need, whether it is for you, a family member, a friend, someone you care for, or someone you work with.

Also offer medical help to prevent blood-borne viruses and run a needle exchange scheme.

Remember the people at these organisations are professionally trained and must keep everything you say confidential.
